Truck cuts out randomly

1994 For F-150 XL 4.9 L manual transmission

My truck seems to being giving out the same symptoms as it the throttle positioning sensor. As I drive sometimes it cuts out or putters, and then randomly turns off when I drive. Then as I make turns, the entire truck shuts down and I have to wait for a jump.

Given that the thing is over 30 years old it could be almost anything. What diagnostic steps have you taken so far? Checked wiring and grounds? Fuel pressure? Filters? Spark plugs? Battery and alternator?

That's a dead battery. Have it and your alternator tested

I once knew somebody with a Saturn equipped with a manual and it did the same thing. It turned out being a transmission issue.
