HI SCOTTY. I HAVE A 1994 FORD E150 CLUB WAGON. MY EGR VAVLE IS BAD AND IS TROING A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO FLASH. IT IS LOCATED I A DIFFICULT AREA TO GET TO, I'M 71 AND HAVING A HARDER TIME WORKING ON THE VAN. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS SINCE IT IS NOT WORKING IS IT GOING TO DO ANY HARM TO THE ENGINE. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. YOU REMINE ME OF MY BROTHER WHO PASS AWAY 4-28-07. HE HAD A EXXON STATION AND DID ALL MY REPAIRS ON MY CARS OVER THE YEARS. START YOUR ENGINES!!!!!!!

If the EGR valve isn't functioning properly, it is possible for your engine to overheat and cause severe damage.

I had one too.
I replaced it with new. Didn't like taking chances.
