- 1994 Toyota Celica GT , 150XXXMILES , NO ENGINE CODES anymore previously had a 71code egr system. But my Main issue is I was driving and the CE light started flashing then the transmission started to slip and wouldn't move under its own power . Checked the trans fluid and it was awful so I drained and filled twice and it still wouldn't reverse up a small incline . When I accelerated there was a hard jolt and the car rocked slightly . And now it moves slightly forward in neutral and drive works as well. Any tips or info would be appreciated the vehicle sat for years prior to me owning it but ran and drove fine
Im thinking maybe the bands stretched or maybe linkage moved
automatic transmissions are hydraulically controlled. Shift time is monitored, and line pressure is electronically modulated to compensate for clutch wear. Sounds like yours bit the dust.

It is highly likely your transmission is shot.
@chucktobias but it was running fine but once it got hot aka operation temperature it slipped i guess . Im thinking maybe the bands stretched or maybe linkage moved
If the fluid looked that bad it's because the bands and clutches lost a lot of friction material. That's what contaminates transmission fluid. There's no combustion gases or blowby like you get in engine oil.
