1995 Diesel Suburban engine kicking

I purchased a 1995 Diesel Suburban new. I had about 3 years of happy driving. Then I had to replace a fuel injection pump. $4,500. I had to replace 2 more.

The problem I had I never got an answer for. Going down the road at about 60mph I pressed on the gas lightly. Every time I did this the engine would kick a bit. Like backfiring but no sound. I complained for years but GM said they never heard of this problem.

The engine finally failed and I had a new one put in (I know I’m an idiot so take some time to laugh at me) ok done??😂😂. The new engine did the exact same thing!!

I really want to know if anyone out there had the same problem and also if anyone out there knows what the problem was.

Typical GM I sent all my repair invoices in. All $72,000 Canadian (go ahead and laugh again) and they offered me $1,500 off my next GM.

Never bought another GM. My family is all Honda now. Absolutely no problems.

Thanks for your help.
