Hi Scotty,
My wife's co-worker has a 1995 Mercedes C220 for sale, at a very reasonable price, with only about 148,000 kms/ 92,000 miles and looks in really good shape. I am assuming at this age that this is a high tech machine, but was Mercedes made better in 1995? It qualifies for our cheap collectors insurance (about 10-15% cost), but would this be expensive and time consuming to repair?
They were better made in 95, but it's still a 26 year old Mercedes. I'd still pass on it unless it's incredibly cheap, but I'm no Mercedes expert by any means.
Would probably help if you posted the price they're willing to sell it for.
$2,500. Craigslist had a 4 others with higher mileage for $2,800, $2,800, $3,000 & $3,500.
Keep in mind where I live (Vancouver, Canada) everything is more expensive.
Thanks for the feedback, I think I will pass on it.
i would stay away from it, no matter what 26 year old "modern" car.
