Yesterday when I went to wash my car, I turned on the AC and then after like 2 minutes it made a super weird noise. Then I saw a steady flow of smoke coming out near where the heater hoses are located but there was no fire. Now today when I turned on my car to heat it up, every time I would turn on the front defroster

Sounds like a either your AC condenser went out or your have a leak in the AC system. All AC condensers leak a tiny bit of fluid to keep the bearing lubricated but they wear out over time regardless.
