My sister got a new car and gave us her 1997 Chevrolet Lumina to me for free. Was going to use it as a knock around car, but am having an issue where it won't start, there is power and it does crank, but doesn't turn over.
What can I check to find the issue?
I am currently charging the battery, but as I am getting power, I don't think that's the issue. The terminals are not corroded and are tight on the battery. I was thinking it was the starter, but I am not sure.
3.1l V6 with 176k miles.
Thanks! I checked the battery and starter, those are good. It appears to be the fuel pump as the guage says the tank is empty and when we checked the fuel pressure, we weren't getting anything.
I'll have to pay the $183.79 on rockauto for a new assembly and install it when it arrives.
