Hey Scotty,
I recently bought a 1997 F-250HD 4x4 with the 460CUI V8 and an automatictransmission. It's got 22K documented miles and runs like a champ (bought it with 20K- literally a barn find). All fluids have been drained and replaced. The only issue I have is the fuel guage. The dual tank switch works well, but neither tank registers the correct fuel level. I've tried running numerous tanks of Chevron Techron Plus injector cleaner through to try and clean the surfaces in the sending unit, but still no change. Anything else I can do, short of dropping the tanks and replacing the sending units?
Thanks and love your channel,
Shooter
i dont have an answer, seems like a common problem with those duel tanks, some folks just live with it , using odometer and mpg

yes sir
If neither tank registers the correct level on the gauge I would suspect the gauge, electrical connections and fuses for corrosion.
