1998 Dodge Dakota dies when trying to start it cold

Hey Scotty, I have a 1998 Dodge Dakota with the 5.2, 4wd, 8ft bed, 160,000 miles, automatic, no codes. When I go to start it “cold” sometimes it dies out when I give it some gas, I let off, give it a second, and it’s right back to normal. It may happen a couple times but once it is warmed up, it runs like a champ. Any suggestions or ideas what that might be, sir?

Sounds like something fuel related. A lack of required fuel, rather.

Change your fuel filter & pressure test your fuel pump. If that’s all good, I’d move my focus to the fuel injectors next - https://youtu.be/UrqyrI5aNl0
