Had a power steering gear and pump replaced and now the air bag light is on. I've used the same mechanic for years and is the only one I trust in my area. Hooked up their scan tool and there are no codes and scan tool shows that air bags are not equipped on the vehicle. They use a professional level scan tool. The mechanic got the check engine light to flash seven times and checked with alldata and it said a scan tool is needed to scan the airbag system. What could be the issue? Want to fix it sooner than later. Thanks.
