I am considering buying a Honda Civic from a individual for $2200.00. It is a 5 speed, four cylinder with 153,000 miles. Hand operated locks, windows- old school. A/c and heat all work and it just passed both inspections. Are these good cars?

Make sure to have your mechanic check the car before putting down any serious money.

At the very least, have the mechanic do a compression test. These older, less electronically sophisticated cars are an owners dream that, when properly maintained, will give many many years of trouble free service.
