Hello, I have a 98 SL500 MB with 70K miles. It just started ideling rough , so I changed the plugs, and oil. It didn’t help. I looked on Utube and decided it might be the EGR valve. I can’t find it! It’s not by the firewall. Would you know where it is located ? I know if I take it in it will cost a fortune, and now that I’m retired, And don’t have a ton of cash laying around.

If you want to keep an MB running without dealer intervention, you should first invest in a repair manual, like this one
