Hi scotty love the channel!!!! Great tips and tricks even for a diesel mechanic to use hahahaha!!! I have recently bought a 1999 dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 sport pickup with a gas 5.9l, i put a new distributor in it after putting new head gaskets in it because 1 gasket was blown and the fella i bought it from robbed the distributor for his daily driver. Is it true i have to take it to a shop with the right software to relearn the injector/firing times? Thanks a ton for the answer.... see not all diesel mechanics are know it alls hahahaha {black}:idontknow:
Your question is a bit confusing- you said you bought a gas truck but then you mentioned "diesel mechanics". Is this a gas truck with the LA 360 (5.9 V8) or does this vehicle have the 5.9 Cummins?
