Hey Scotty I have a 1999 ford expedition awd 4x4 with 195000  it is not coming out of 4x4 and has a poping or clunking sound underneath when under a load and it's only engaging the front wheels. The 4low and 4x4 lights are on.i also suspect that the BCM/GEM module is going out due to constant flashing lights and speedometer issues I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. It has a new battery and no codes at least on my cheep alltel scanner. Any information is greatly appreciated thanks for all the help given to me and others over the years.

Well that complex system you're going to have to find a guy like me with a fancy Ford scan tool to test it and then they could figure out what was wrong with it. It could very well be the BC. I'm going to be lots of things that go wrong electronically. Motors can go bad. Wiring can go bad. You need somebody to really understands those four-wheel drive systems to work on that. I couldn't hazard a guess without actually seeing it and hooking up my scan tool

Thank you so much. I'm in tennessee but on the other side of the state near knoxville, I withsh I were closer. I'll have to find a guy who's like you the problem is your a rare breed
