Aloha, I am wondering if all 1st gen Sienna transmissions are interchangeable?
I have a 99 Sienna, 138k miles
And a 2001 Sienna, 160k miles
Was thinking about moving trans over from 2001 into the 1999, the 2001 needs way more work done and back tax is 1k, the 1999 is legal and needs like no work, but trans is bad. I guess they towed it wrong or something.
I also found a 2002 Sienna with a good motor and trans on marketplace I might go pick up. That way I can just throw the trans into the 99, and have two running siennas!!!!!
But I am seeing two different engines in these things???
There are so many differences in productions years. I would not hazard a guess on that one. But you might call some salvage yards and see if they have ever had that done by any of their customers and talk to those people to see if indeed it was able to work or whether they had a lot of problems with the wiring and software and mounting points
