Hey scotty, i have 2 300zx twin turbos 1 is a 89 and the other is a 92 and I recently changed one injector in each. I changed it from the top and only disconnected the fuel pump relay. Then cranked the car to relieve pressure. Installed the injector and went to start the cars, i have the same issue. It cranks but wont start and itll click after a couple of trys and the lights dim. The starter makes a weird noise but the cars wont turn over. I pulled the injector out and seen it’s getting fuel. Any idea what i need to do? I feel like it’s something simple. Done this work before and didn’t have this issue. Thanks
I'd start by checking all the electrical connectors that you may have disconnected and/or disturbed in the process of remove/replace of the injector. It's easy to bump a connector when doing that kind of work, and if they're 30 years old the plastic in those connectors can crack and cause lost connection - it's HOT under a Turbo Z's hood. Shame they wouldn't have an OBD scan port.
