Hey Scotty & friends. Ive been daily driving this Camaro for about 5 years now, 100k, car runs excellent. But I noticed a little bit of coolant leaking out from the back of the engine. The mechanic said its not worth the labor in replacing it, which I agree. He then said to watch the coolant level and I've only lost maybe 10 oz fluid in about 6 months, (3k miles). He told me to not use any type of sealant because they are prone to clogging radiators and other things. Although recently I've been thinking of using that sodium silicate stuff and then replacing a bunch of hoses and the radiator just because it's all pretty old. My question is, would you just keep an eye on the coolant level, or would you pour some sealant in and then replace some old, worn-out parts of the system. Thanks for your help & all your videos.
I'd just keep an eye on the coolant. But then I'm lazy.
