2000 Camry 229,000 miles shaking at idle

Hey Scotty. My girlfriends 2000 Camry 4 cyl automatic 229,000 miles is doing this while idling in park. I changed the EGR valve with a part off eBay that I got for $30. The Toyota dealership wants $375 for the part. The car shakes along with the RPM in sync. The fluctuating RPMs very. Sometimes it’s more drastic. I cleaned the throttle and no change. What should I do? Link below going to YouTube video.  https://youtu.be/CUDN5ZREPIs

this is exactly why I don't replace engine parts with $30 items from ebay.

It was doing this before the egr change. I was told to by an eBay part from a friend that works at a Nissan dealership as a mechanic. I’m not sure what could be causing that considering it was doing this before I changed the egr

Listen to @mountainmanjoe! Yes, sometimes you may get lucky and the eBay part fixes the issue momentarily, but then the problem invariably reappears.

Now, have you checked for any codes? When was the last time you had the car serviced/tuned up? Are the spark plugs new? (I hope they’re not eBay ones). Buy good quality Denso/NGKs & check if it still shakes at idle.

Start with checking all the simple things first, before you start throwing parts at the car.
