I replaced the oil pump on my 2000 chevy silverado 5.3 Lt With 405,000 miles. I put back the same old water pump and just change the thermostat. After doing this there was to much pressure in the coolant reservoir and cause a overflow. Everything was working fine before changing changing the oil pump.

@mountainmanjoe
Forgot to mention of a bad water pump,
I think my water pump is not moving the coolant. Because it use to work before i took out but once i put it back in it didn't work properly.
