I'm looking at a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 w/135k miles with a clean title (allegedly). Would something this old be a good daily driver, do they last long and is it too old of a buy for $5500?

From what I know, gmc and chevy’s quality has been going down. I don’t have experience but those are definitely better than newer ones. I would be sure to get it looked at and go from there.

It can be, I had a 2002 that I bought for that much 9 years ago. So back then it was 10 yrs. old, and we had to do a lot of maintenance and updating a lot of other systems to get it daily reliable. The one you're looking at is now 21 yrs. old and likely in need of a lot to bring it to daily use.
