is is worth puting in $3900 in a 2001 gmc Sierra 2wd ext cab 5.3 v8 Vortec with 118,000 miles I all ready put in $5,000 within the last 6 months shops says other $3900 the truck will be 100% they say now its 65% redone as of now total investment $10,845.18 I have into the truck from the price of the truck when I bought it and how much I sank into her over the years. Truck runs good the weak part of the truck is the tranny but it still has alot of life left in her. So is it worth putting other $3900 into the old girl or not? It needs u joints a carrier bearing rear wheel bearing/hub new E Brake Cable fix my AC has a leak in the system some where and may need a new compresser and I need a new alternator 4 new sensors so the engine light will go out and stay out only way to do it the mechanics said is to fix it so I don't have to fix it the truck is 20years old so it doesn't need to pass the state inspection but I want that light out have to pay it and my ABS Module got replaced very very very very expensive to do so all most didn't do it the job was $1500 for that 1 job but it fixed the problem so I have so stuff still wrong with my rig I really just want to know what to do finish what I started with this truck or sell it or at least fix the caierr bearing and u joints on the drive shaft and replace the front and back shocks and front coil srings and thats it maybe the AC also depends on whats wrong with it. Then after that run it in the ground or fix the whole truck???? Any advice would be greatly greatly appreciated thank you scotty
Well you're ready so upside down in that truck you might as well you can't sell it for much but I would advise looking for a different mechanic myself I think they're overcharging you for the work
