Hi. Scotty i have a 2001 nb miata with 117,850 miles. My car has a check engine light code p0012 and would come on and off randomly. My car however starts and run just fine. I have replaced a new Selenoid, did my new timing belt, replaced timing sensor and flushed the oil hoping is would fix the issue. However it still would come back… How exactly do i fix this. I have read many nb miata owners that have the same issue but they all seems to just ignore the light.
Realize that system is variable valve timing in most cases and if it is that system is very particular and if it runs okay ignore it because replacing all that VVT system cost a small fortune
Hi scotty i have a 2001 nb miata with 118,000 miles. I have a p0012 code that turn on and off by itself randomly. My car runs fine and start fine. I recently replaced the timing belt, oil change, selenoid and crankshaft sensor hoping to get rid of the light. You might have recall this question awhile ago… BUT, i have not noticed the a pattern of when the cel would be illuminated… I noticed than when im driving at a low speed around 10-20 mph for a while thats when the check engine lights comes on. Any thoughts?
please keep all your info together in one topic so we don't have to go hunting all around . Thanks.
