2001 Saturn L200 vs 2005 Ford Taurus?

Currently have a 2001 Saturn L200, automatic with 2.2 4 cylinder with 152K. Have been offered from a family member 2005 Ford Taurus, auto, Duratec DOHV 3.0 V6 with 104K. Tranny has a cooler and towed a light pop up about a total of 500 miles during its life. Thoughts?

The Taurus was not a very well built car in those years, but Saturns weren't either.

I would probably take the Taurus of the two just for the lower mileage and trans cooler.

Was thinking the same thing. Plus a car with a hitch I could pull a small boat, trailer, etc. And a fact I left out is that the Saturn a/c broke some time ago. Nice cold air in the Taurus.

If the family member is offering the Taurus for free, I would sell both cars and buy a Toyota Corolla

Funny. My other car is a 2017 Toyota Corolla. Other than always having to put the CVT in S mode to pull out, great car so far. The Saturn'/Taurus is used around town and used under 5K per year.
