Hey guys, I'm pretty sure it's my MAF but I figured I needed a reason to register....so what do you think? 2002 Chevy 3500 long wb with a 5.7 gas engine. She'll race on and off at stop lights under braking and during start up. (in park) as soon as I put it into drive it settles right down. It doesn't take off so much as it's got to be doing a number on my universals.

any trouble lights/codes?
While you're in the throttle body, you might as well check/clean the IAC valve too.
IAC Valve Reset Procedure
1. Turn ON the ignition for 20 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
3. Start the engine.
4. Check for the proper idle speed.
And try spraying some starter fluid around the intake. You could have a failed intake gasket.
