Hi Scotty,
I have a 2002 Chevy TB with 200,000 miles on it. Other day I was driving and heard a big bang. I lift up my car up on jackstands and put it in reverse and then driver rear side wheel is NOT spinning. What could be the problem?
I was doing a lot research find out three thing we could do.
The back brakes caliber could be locked you.
The universal joint could be damaged
Or the biggest problem differential is a damaged. How can they get damaged if I change the fluid about the five years ago .
Who is someone can give me an answer so I can try to fix it ?

Note that if you do not have a limited slip differential it is normal for only one wheel to spin when wheels are off the ground. If you do have limited slip then physical examination is needed to determine the cause. (Obviously the bang does suggest something broke unless it was just road debris.)

21 years and 200,000 miles of wear and/or the wrong grade of gear oil.

Someone who can actually get their hands on the vehicle to check it out.
