2002 F150 - Transmission slipping- is it slave cylinder ?how would I know? I thinking about buying this truck

Automatic or manual transmission? ("Slave cylinder" implies a clutch but "slipping transmission" implies an automatic trans.)

Assuming you're talking about a manual transmission if the slave cylinder were bad it would of course have the opposite effect - the clutch would not release fully or at all. What you're describing would be caused by a worn-out clutch which is what would actually be slipping.
