So I have a 2002 S10 4.3L with 280k on it and still kicking pretty good over all. Except.   Not always but now and then while driving and maintaining speed under Various temperature and weather conditions my truck just seems to Hiccup. There is no actual loss of speed or major vacuum, rpm or oil pressure that I have been able to note. Mostly because it comes and goes at random and in a split second so that by the time it happens I don't have time to note any changes in gauges if any. This has been going on now for about a year and I have not found a fix.

Things I have done before and after the issue started.

MAF sensor, Crank sensor and harness because the wires went bad, New Cap, Rotor, plugs and wires because they were shot, Fuel Filter, Throttle Position Sensor and Idle control valve.

See the FAQ page for misfires.

These engines are notorious for eating intake gaskets.

Thats a good start.  I’m sorry your initial efforts didn’t help, but the old girl has a plethora of things that could cause a misfire.  Follow @mmj suggestion and also poke around S10 forums.  But I’m guessing this is gonna be a job for Scotty’s fancy scan tool.

Good luck
