I have a 2002 Chevy Suburban Z71 1500 automatic with 150,000 miles on it. At highway speeds the engine abruptly shuts off. It restarts immediately. This happened three times on an 800-mile trip. After the second incident, I put a new alternator in even though the battery tested ok. I felt a slight hesitation just prior to the shutdown each time. My mechanic said there were no codes. He said could be a variety of things. Any suggestions? Thanks (big fan)

Seems like a fuel delivery issue. Change the fuel filter and then pressure test the fuel pump.

It restarts immediately.
Also check for loose connections at your battery and alternator.
