Hey Scotty I recently bought my son a 2002 Toyota Camry with the 2.4 and it kept throwing code p1349 for vvt solenoid well I replaced it and now the code is popping up more often can you please point me in the right direction cause I gotta get this car running so he can get to and from work
Did you install an OEM VVT solenoid? Checked the other possible causes for that code?

The vvt solenoid i replaced it with was what was recommended through oreilly
You need to stick with OEM for that kind of critical part. See what a Toyota specialist says:

The vvt solenoid i replaced it with was what was recommended through oreilly i have checked the oil and oil levels it’s full and clean even after clearing the code I disconnected the battery overnight to clear everything and it still pops on after a few miles
I’m beginning to wonder if the ecm is bad it wasn’t throwing this code this bad until I put a new vvt solenoid but it’s running good for about 3 or 4 miles then the code pops up I haven’t tried driving with it on I keep clearing it …. Is a ecm expensive and is it plug and play
