I am investing $3200 to fix my 2002 VW Cabrio with 110k. Biggest repair is used automatic transmission. I am already in about $2200. Is this an endless money pit? I am thinking of getting a new top and getting new door handle with matching key. I only have one key now. Shoud I pull the plug after my $5400 investment or keep going? How far is too far on this car.

Yes, that's money pit. You want to invest $5400 in it. That's more than the vehicle is worth.
Get rid of it if you value your money. It's almost 20 yrs old car.
Use your money for sth better. Well, you decide.
