Hello Scotty. Love your YT videos! I have 2002 VW Jetta TDI diesel car, Manual. 240k miles. Car was running fine. No issues with gas guzzling or anything! Popped hood to check fluids, noticed diesel fuel leaking around top on fuel injector pump. We replaced the gasket, seal kit on the top of the pump. Car starts & runs, no diesel leaking. However when I drive it it putts/misses a little especially in 2nd gear. I don’t know what’s wrong now. Wasn’t doing this before repair. What else can we do? Please help! I work in healthcare & this car gets me to work. We’re just lost now. Took it to shop & they said for $60 they’ll stabilize the fuel/air with a computer..
You're brave man. Taking that pump apart and trying to seal it. Those things are so freaking complicated. So many things can go wrong taking it apart and putting it back together again. If I were you I'd have Volkswagen guy try to do that trick and pray and fixes it because if not man so many things can go wrong with those pumps taking them apart
it putts/misses a little
What does it do when driving?
When you opened the pump to replace the seal, air has entered.
It might be needed to bleed the pump to remove the air.
Did you have a manual/how-to for your repair?
&: The 'help' the shop offers looks 'scammy' to me.
