Hi Scotty🙂 I've been getting an error message saying "Starting Disabled" and the anti theft symbol🔐 flashes when I open door. When I try and start my car, it keeps the key and I must manually remove it. However, I've replaced the throttle body, the ecm, and key replacement, new battery, alternator, and car still won't start. I'm at my wits. I can't afford to buy another car right now. Advice please. Help help help. Thanks
Your antithetical system remains active which means it does not recognize the key. If you have a spare key, try that. If not, find a Locksmith who works on cars and ask him to make another key for your car.
Thank you for responding. I appreciate that. I had a locksmith make a new key and do the relearn but I still am faced with the same results. I bought every replacement part new as well.
Did the Locksmith program the key? If so, the anti theft system is acting up. Fixing it, is a nightmare and probably cost a fortune. I would Ask a pro to disable it and put an aftermarket if you need one.
