2003 Camry strut noise

Hello Scotty. I recently installed new strut assemblies after one of my coil springs broke. After I installed the struts, there has been a clunking/creaking noise. Could the new struts be defective? This is also the second pair of struts that I replaced. The first ones also had a similar noise. There weren’t any noises before I replaced them except for the noise of the broken coil spring. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

Did you replace the rubbing bushings/mounts too?

@inthrustwetrust
I installed the strut assemblies that came with everything including the mounts.

Which brand did you use?

There are so many clunking noises that can emanate from a vehicle's front end that it’s difficult to diagnose online, from behind a screen.

I think your best bet is to take your car in to a reputed front end shop & have them diagnose what’s clunking.

Don't just keep replacing parts without finding out the real cause as that’s a good way to throw away your money without fixing the problem.

@inthrustwetrust
I used Gabriel struts.
