I'm looking at buying a 2003 dodge ram 1500, 198k miles. 3 p codes. p 0171, p0108 and p2106. runs ruf and stalls for the current owner. the problems all seem related. sensor, intake or maybe an exhaust leak. he wants $2,000. not a bad price. is it worth it. I don't want to waste my time if it could a major problem with the engine, replacement? Let me know your thoughts. thanks {black}:idontknow:
Eh, 198k in miles the transmission in it is past average EOL. If you are talented enough to swap an engine and the rest of the truck like body and interior is in really good shape, then I would offer him 1,000 and put a used motor in it. Your likely looking at an intake or head gasket failure, possibly worse. If you can’t do it yourself then I would walk away.
