Security alarm keeps going off randomly

Here is my problem. I have a 2003 Ford Escape and the alarm / Horn keeps going off at random times. I tried to lock it by pressing the remote just once and it still keeps going off. I tried to lock it manually and it still keeps going off. I used WD-40 and lubricated all door latches and it still keeps going off. I am now at the point that I can't lock the car. Can you tell me how to disconnect the car alarm so I can lock the car again. Thank You Mike

The best way to figure out what's happening here is to find a guy with a scanner which can communicate with the alarm module.

The alarm module records the recent Alarm Events and will tell you which door is causing the alarm to trigger.

Then you can just use a paperclip to jump the 2 wires at the switch connector to determine if it's a wiring issue (either caused by corrosion in the wiring connector at the latch switch or a damaged wire in the wiring boot between the door and the body at the "A" pillar) or if the switch itself is defective.

I found a video of Brian at the FordTechMakuloco youtube channel doing this which you may find helpful. In his case, every "Alarm Event" was triggered by the passenger front door which made narrowing down the problem pretty easy.

Well, if it's a factory alarm, you really can't disconnect the alarm because it's part of the main system of a vehicle. But of course, if it's just the horn going off you could cut the wire to the alarm horn to stop that from happening. But if it does more stuff like flashes lights and stuff you would have to fix the system
