I just replaced the front struts and lower tie rods now the height between the top of the tire and fender is lager then the back, I have the air suspension in the rear and it is working correctly. The car rides fine and tracks straight. Could this mean the air suspension is weak or were the struts installed incorrectly.

Sounds to me that you got the wrong size struts on the front and they could sit wrong the only reason it would change the light is if they were in correctly made you really can't put them in wrong they only bolt in one way I have seen the cheap Chinese one being made incorrectly and make the car sit either higher or lower because they weren't made right
