I own a 2003 Honda Accord and it burns three quarts of oil a month. What can I do to diminish this problem short of
rebuilding or replacing the engine. The engine runs fine and strong in spite of this oil issue.
You did not state the mileage on this 20-year-old car.
The oil is either burning or leaking. There are no other choices. If leaking is suspected you can use UV dye to try finding it. Are the spark plugs oil fouled?
If the engine is really burning that much oil there is not much that can be done aside from rebuilding or replacing the engine. Not worth it on a car that old, and it's quite possible that if it has an automatic transmission that would crater soon afterwards.

Do check your PCV valve, if clogged up that can certainly lead to oil burning.
