So I bought an impala off a less than desirable person for 800 The tranny hard shifts between 1st and 2nd will Lucas help that? Im just trying to turn this into like a 2500 dollar car something that’s going to be good

I certainly would not put a lot of money into a 20-year-old Impala. For $800 you're lucky that it runs and drives. The Lucas additive might help a little for a while or it might not do anything. It sounds to me like you're in "nothing to lose by trying" territory.
