Car is in mint condition.has 166,000 miles.has code p0371 for incorrect gear ratio.can this be an easy fix or an expensive one or just a crapshoot pretty much? Buying it from a private party for 1,050.

Probably not an easy fix at all.
It has too much mileage for an Infiniti anyway

This code is for a faulty camshaft positioning sensor.
So an expensive fix? Or just a matter of changing out the camshaft sensor?

Looks like an easy change out.
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/find/2003-infiniti-i35-camshaft-position-sensor.c9639. These all look like after market. OE part is probably more expensive.
