Your thoughts on a Lexus es300 2003 145k asking $4,500 private owner
If it’s in good shape & a mechanic checks it and gives you the green flag, I’d say grab it..
Try & bring the price down as best you can.
Besides what @ mentioned, ask the owner about timing belt. If it due, then you may need to do it soon and it is not a cheap repair.
Question I just finished watching a video that scotty made about a 2003 honda accord being a great but !! Well according to car complaints its has major transmission problems this very misleading not like scotty I watch 3 or 4 videos a week I'm alittle confused

Yes, please ask as a separate question. Quickly though I bought one for my wife. It’s a 2.4 5 speed. If the one you’re looking at is a 4cyl then tranny should be fine. If your looking at the V6 model, those can be hard on the trannys.
