I have an opportunity to obtain a hand me down 2003 Mazda Tribute. It has been sitting for 4 years, and I have no idea what is wrong with it just yet. But before I delve into considering it, I was wondering what the general thoughts are about the 2003 Mazda Tribute?
It was during build during the Ford era of Mazda, which gives me hesitation. It has a Ford V6 Duratec engine.
I'm not too familiar with Fords, more familiar with Toyota and Honda.
How does the quality of Mazda Tribute with the Ford engine hold up? What can be expected to need fixing in this vehicle based on its history? And generally speaking, like throwing darts in the wind, what might have put this car out of commission for 4 years?
those were not so great back in the day they had transmission failures as they age and if one sat for four years I would really wonder about if it's worth it
