Hi Scotty, I have a 2003 Mustang GT 4.6 manual trans 63,000 miles. It has a 2-3 second start up rattle in the motor
after it sits overnight. Should I be concerned or just live with it? Thank you, Wayne

Be concerned ! Have it checked-out by a good, honest mechanic. Sounds like bottom-end bearing issue from excessive speed/abuse with low/bad oil. Commonly, first to go bad are cylinder 1 & 5 bearings. Can also be cam/timing chain issues, plus about 10 other possible issues.
It's hard to say with limited info, but you might need a short block, maybe more.
But be concerned. Definitely abnormal in a 4.6.

I second this.

Make sure you are using the right type of oil for the motor.
