- Hi Scotty, I am looking at buying a 2004 Toyota 4Runner with 190k miles for 6000. I know that 2004 was before they fix the head gasket issue on the 4L v6. Is this a good buy or too risky?
Can u explain the head gasket problem? Do you mean it is a problem showed up in certain years or it is the car you planning to buy?

That's a great price. Make sure you have a reputable Mechanic Inspect everything before you buy.
