Hi Scotty, congrats on the move.
I recently inherited a 2004 Toyota Corolla CE with the 4 cyl engine from my grandmother. Only has about 120,000-160,000 kms on it. Any issues with this model year that I should worry about or should I be good to drive it for another 500,000 kms?
Thanks.
Yeah they were good, just check cc joint boots for rips, normal maintenance and don't red line it. Shoulda last long time.
@jackofall
thanks
I have a 2005 with +250,000km and still runs great. So far I only have changed the engine supports twice (about every 100,000Kms) and the solenoid for the start engine.
Watch out for check engine code P0741 on OBDII, mechanics may say you need a new transmission but it seems in this line of corolla its a common problem that a solenoid just got sort of unplugged, that was the case with mine and digging in the web it seems it often happens.
