I have got an 04 F250 that starts when cold but once it warms up it just dies. I have looked into it and replaced the IPR valve and so many sensors that I cant name them all, I even got the FICM replaced but still no luck. I took it to the dealer and they said it was the camshaft sensor but I don't really see how that could be causing the issue. This is my only vehicle since my 07 Silverado wrecked and I really need it to work so any suggestions would be appreciated, also if anyone knows I would like to know how much boost it should be getting because before it starting having this die when warm problem it was getting 13 psi of boost, thank you.
6.0L Engine.
No CEL or trouble codes.
well said but true often that's the terrible booster gone bad as is it heats up then the metal expands and creates vacuum that makes it die when it's warmed up you probably have some type of vacuum leak if not that part that when it gets warm the leak is bigger. Either that or leaking fuel injectors that flood the engine out when it's hot
Yes that was very good advice and to test it you could just block off the booster line and a driveway the brakes won't work that good and maybe drive it a little around the block to see if when it's hot it conks out if it doesn't the booster's bad if it still does often that will be leaking fuel injectors flooding out an engine as an engine needs extra fuel when cold but when warm extra fuel will stall the engine out
