I've got a 2004 GMC yukon slt 4-speed automatic, it's a hand-me-down from my dad, 5 years ago. it's got over 300k miles and it's running very well till now.
My main issue with the car is it keeps losing engine oil and coolant alot quicker than it used to. no overheating, no visible leaks and no white smoke from the exhaust, but the engine light is almost always on. After running for 2+ hours, if i shut down the engine and start it up after waiting 20 minutes, it'd run on reduced engine power mode. It runs normally after letting it cool down.
minor seperate issue, after replacing leaking brakelines, sometimes the ABS yellow light appears and stays on after startup. most of the time though, it doesn't appear
Thank you so much for your time and your informative videos!! Love from Saudi Arabia!
The engine is flat worn out. Time for a new engine or rebuild that one.
you can do a compression check to find out for sure.
