i have a 2004 toyota highlander , 160,000 miles , automatic . no codes . im in pennsylvania , 2 nd owner , have had the car for 70,000 miles , bought from origial owner with 90,000 miles . var is great , my first toyota , bought because of your high opinion of older model toyotas' --used. never an issue until now ----im told the rear subframe is rusted badly , and wouldnt pass penna inspection . im told there are two options -----welding things back iinto shape , or replacing the whole rear subframe . your thoughts would be much appreciated .

Replacing is the only real safe option
