Scotty,
Looking at a 2004 Honda Civic Si, manual w/ 33k miles for $6500. (I know the seller so mileage is verified) I wish to use this as a daily driver, 15-18k per year. What should I have my mechanic look for when he looks this car over for me? Rubber seals, gaskets, etc. What are the mechanical "risks" with buying such an old car?
Thanks you so much, you have made me a better car owner!

At the minimum, have your mechanic do a dry/wet compression test and a leak down test. Then check everything else.
