I have a nice CRV with 184,000 miles. It runs, shifts and drives great and has had oil changes every 5,000 miles its entire life. My issue is a vibration at idle when in gear. I've adjusted the valves, changed the plugs and the engine mounts (including an OEM Honda top hydraulic mount). Nothing seems to change the vibration. It feels like the engine is grounded out somewhere, but I have not been able to figure out the source of the vibration.
Is this a common issue? I recall one of Scotty's videos where he mentioned trying to find a similar vibration in an Accord. Thoughts?
I would look at the exhaust and hangers to see if rubber has torn or is bottoming out on the hangers or bracket. That can cause a vibration you’ll only really feel in gear or under certain load patterns
Thanks...I did replace all exhaust hangers thinking that might be a cause. I'll double check the system again.
