2004 Mini Cooper CVT transmission with 60K miles I plan to get rid of it before 150,000 miles and it has no Recalls from what I had done research the year has no Major issues besides CVT issues, Should I buy it?
No.
I mean look, it's a MINI, not the best cars, but the only one locally that is within my budget and it has Low Miles and its a 2004 before MINI added the Crazy Technology to their cars.. Why not? Plus Scotty Kilmer said in his older videos that the older MINI's weren't half-bad cars.
They weren't all that reliable when they were new. That one is nearly 20 years old. Repairs are expensive. The CVT in those is known to be a major common failure point and is likely to self-destruct on you. The car probably won't make it past 100K miles on the odometer without needing serious repairs, perhaps even sooner. (The low mileage figure is suspect - that's only a little over 3K miles per year.)
They weren't half bad, only 49% bad.
lol 49% bad, Ok I'll look for another car.
